Netherton takes inspiration from 18th century Shopshire forges and adapts them to 21st century demands. Netherton fire pots, like Netherton's frying pans and cooking pots, are made from 4mm black iron to create a traditional, solid iron pot. This a smooth, flat bottom so it heats evenly on all types of stoves. The Netherton Fire Pot is suitable for stovetops, gas, electric, ceramic, halogen and induction cooktops. Always heat slowly to avoid denting.  Since it is made of iron, it can also use it outdoors to cook at high temperatures on flames, embers and grills. High-quality cast iron is resistant to temperature changes and cracking, making it ideal for high-performance induction cooktops. Just like Netherton's frying pans, the bowl and lid feature a distinctive pre-seasoned flax oil finish. The special texture ensures that the linseed oil bonds with the iron. With use, the seasoned surface becomes smoother and develops a glossy patina. If the coating is worn or damaged, it can be easily restored at home.

 The lid of the Netherton fire pot can be used outdoors as a stove. Layer hot coals or embers on top of the lid so you can now cook from both the top and the bottom. The 2.5 cm high rim keeps the coals and embers on the top of the lid. The lid is turned from 3 mm thick iron and has a cast iron ring handle that is securely screwed to the lid. The lid can be lifted off when hot with heat-resistant gloves, which you can also purchase in our store. The lid is also rubbed with flax oil.

Sturdy iron frame

 The frame of the Netherton Dutch oven consists of a 6mm thick iron ring with 3 detachable iron legs, which are perfect for outdoor cooking over an open flame or charcoal fires. When you've finished cooking, detach the legs for compact storage. No tools required.
